Objective
The Fund seeks to provide current income exempt from federal income taxes for North Carolina residents without undue investment risk.
Suitability
The Fund is suitable for investors seeking income that is exempt from federal and North Carolina state income taxes. Income is anticipated to make up the greater percentage of total return. Income from the Fund may be subject to the Alternative Minimum Tax.
Investment Risks
This Fund has some share-price volatility and, correspondingly, has more risk tied to it than more conservative investments. Bond Funds will tend to experience smaller fluctuations in value than stock funds. However, investors in any bond fund should anticipate fluctuations in price, especially for longer-term issues and in environments of rising interest rates.
Investing in regional funds may involve additional risk since investments are concentrated in one geographic area. A tax-exempt fundīs income may be subject to certain state and local taxes and, depending on your tax status, the federal alternative minimum tax.
