Alan is a member of the senior management Investment Policy Group, and is responsible for developing and communicating the investment outlook, strategy, and asset allocation. Alan has been with the RidgeWorth since 1993 and with the SunTrust organization for 30 years in several investment oriented positions. During his tenure as Chief Economist he served as the Chairman of the American Bankers Association’s Economic Advisory Committee. In this role he met directly with the Federal Reserve Board of Governors to discuss the economic outlook, monetary policy, and banking issues. He has also testified before Congress on economic and regulatory issues affecting the banking industry. In addition to his duties at RidgeWorth, Alan is a member of the Blue Chip Financial Forecast panel. He received his undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary (1976) and his MA in Economics from Virginia Commonwealth University (1981).
